Q: How many days is the examination? |
| A: The physical is a two day comprehensive diagnostic physical. Plan on arriving the first day around 7:30 a.m. Day one is usually the longest and then on day two, you can usually depart the clinic by around 2:30 or 3:00, depending upon the services rendered. |
Q: Is the physical covered by insurance? |
A: We are participating providers with Medicare, Tricare, and Acordia PEIA. All other insurances will be billed out of a courtesy to our patients. Be sure to check with your insurance and see if you have out of network benefits and the covered amount for an out of network provider.
Q: Is it true that your doctors spend one hour to an hour and a half with each of their patients? |
A: That is true. Our physicians want to concentrate on their patients and to have the time to be able to do that.
Q: Do I stay at the resort? |
| A: You may stay at the resort during your examination or you may choose an area motel/hotel. Either way, let our appointment desk help you with these accommodations. |
Q: How many patients do your physicians see a day? |
A: Per physician, they see a maximum of four patients a day.
Q: How much is the diagnostic exam? |

Q: Who can benefit most from the Greenbrier Clinic (GC) Executive Health Program?
A: The Executive Health Program welcomes both individual clients and the employees of corporate clients, Our customizable program can suit even the most demanding schedule and we work with each client individually to make visits as comfortable and convenient as possible.
Q: What Is the difference between seeing a GC Executive Health Physician and my regular doctor?
A: The GC Executive Health Program is designed to supplement your regular physician visits, not to replace them. What makes our program unique is its emphasis on personalized attention and on early disease detection and prevention. Our physicians will take the time to review your personal and family medical history and design a series of health screenings and a health action plan that will work for you. Each client is assigned a primary GC executive health physician to guide him or her through the screening tests and results reporting. Our doctors are working to meet your short-term medical needs, but also to improve your long-term health.
Q: How much does a GC Executive Health Program exam cost? |
A: Our basic executive health package costs range from$1800.00 to $6000.00 depending on age and medical history. This price can increase depending on the tests and procedures that are conducted for you. Because our consultations and screenings are customized, the price of your package may vary. We work with each patient to develop a package that suits his or her medical and fiscal needs. If an executive is taking advantage of a corporate benefit, our team members can work to package your services within corporate guidelines.
Q: Will insurance cover the cost of my exam? |
| A: Due the preventative and highly specialized nature of executive health programs, most insurance will not cover the cost of a visit. For patients who are covered under a corporate contract, payment is arranged with the employer and the corporation is billed directly. Individual clients are responsible for the full amount due. |
Q: How much time should I reserve for my visit?
| A: Most of our executive health exams can be completed in two days. Unlike other programs, all of our screenings are completed in a single facility. Instead of having to race from building to building to complete the necessary tests, you can relax in our elegant executive facility. |
Q: When should I arrive?
A: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled visit.
Q: Do I need to bring anything? What should I wear?
A: Before your visit, you will receive a full information package with your schedule and clinical instructions.
In general, it is important that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear. If you are going to be completing a treadmill stress test, you will need to bring exercise clothing and running shoes.
It is also important that you not eat or drink anything except water and essential medications from midnight onwards the night before your visit to ensure that your lab work is accurate. We schedule all our executive health exams first thing in the morning to make the fasting as easy as possible. If you have any questions about your medications or the requirement to fast, please contact us at 304-536-4870.
Q: How often should I come back? |
| A: You should schedule your executive health exam with us annually. Each year, our physicians will revisit your results and action plan from the year before to further customize your visit and build on your progress. |
Q: How can I arrange for my company to learn more about the Greenbrier Clinic Executive Health Program?

Part of your physical may involve being on a treadmill. Wear appropriate walking or running shoes and/or shoes that can also be easily removed during tests. Women scheduled or mammography should wear no body powder or deodorant until the test is complete. For any CT or radiology tests, a sports bra with no metal clasps is recommended. |
